We Emphasize

Everything about our dental practice is organized and run to see that your needs and concerns are met in a caring, professional manner.

Meeting your Needs and Concerns

We take care to create an environment which allows you to relax and set aside the anxiety typically associated with dental work.  To help you relax, we provide pleasant surroundings, offer staff who take a personal interest in you and work to keep you fully informed about your dental condition and what is being done by way of treatment.

In our experience, when you know what is being done and why, there are no "surprises" and this can greatly reduce your anxiety.

Your Personal Comfort

We provide quality dental care.  All of our staff are well trained and highly skilled in the services they provide and take pride in seeing that each and every patient receives quality dental care.

For a given dental problem or condition, typically there is more than one means of treatment available.   When provided a diagnosis of your dental condition, we always take care to point to each of the treatment options and their respective cost.  Once these options and their respective cost are explained, you are free to select the methods of treatment you prefer.

How Invisalign Works

Invisalign
Technology

Technology

Dr. Whitmire thinks that technology plays a very important role in delivering the best dental care to her patients. She keeps up with the latest technology in dentistry. Dr. Whitmire and her staff are committed to continual training and maintenance of delivering the standard of care that patients deserve.

DIGITAL

X-RAY

Digital x-ray is a form of x-ray imaging where digital sensors are used instead of the traditional photographic film.  Digital x-ray use less radiation than the ordinary film.  It means that patients are exposed to lesser radiation when x-rays are taken. It also means less waiting time and shorter appointments.  Images digitally transferred can be enhanced and aid the dentist in making diagnosis more accurate.

CEREC TECHNOLOGY

Cerec machine can be used to restore your tooth in one visit, eliminating the need for a second visit or a temporary crown. Cerec uses 3D camera to capture a before-and-after image of your tooth and uses computer added software to design and mill a ceramic crown, onlay, or veneer.  The milled ceramic crown used to restore the tooth is stronger than the hand-layered and pressed ceramic crown made from the laboratory, thereby giving you a longer lasting restoration.
Furthermore, conservation of good tooth structure is one of its advantages.  Often times a partial coverage crown can be completed versus a full coverage crown. It entails less drilling, thus lesser number of shots or local injections is necessary.

DIAGNODENT CARIES DETECTION

DIAGNODENT scans your teeth with a harmless laser light searching for hidden decay.  This unique instrument provides instant feedback on the health of the tooth.  A pen like probe glides over the tooth surface while a number scale and alarm signals the operator when there are signs of decay.

This new technology is  completely safe and pain-free.

Cost of Service and Methods of Payment

For each appointment, we provide you with a description of the dental services which your exam indicates along with an estimate of the cost of such services.

We believe that quality dental care is an investment in your health that is worth every penny.  As a matter of fact, we make a variety of payment methods available to our patients, work with most insurance plans, and even handle the actual submission of insurance claims to relieve you of all paperwork involved.

Payment Options
We offer a number of payment options including VISA, MASTERCARD . If you need to spread the total amount of your dental treatment over a number of months, we can set up a payment plan through Lending Club and Care Credit.

Senior
All patients aged 65 or older are eligible to receive a senior citizen’s discount. Seniors interested in receiving this discount need to contact our office manager.

Insurance
Insurance offers a practical means of making your health care more affordable. Accordingly, we are happy to accept those insurance plans  which:
  • Allow you to choose which dentist provide your dental care.

  • Make an adequate payment for the dental care given.

We encourage you to discuss your plan with our office manager, who can see if it’s a plan we accept.

The world celebrated the Global Day of Parents on June 1, 2023, a special occasion that honors the vital role parents play in nurturing their children. Let's take this opportunity to explore 10 ways we, as parents, can encourage optimal oral health for our kids. By incorporating these strategies into their daily routines, we can ensure our children develop healthy habits and beautiful smiles.

Lead by example. Kids learn by watching the adults in their lives, so it's important to set a good example by brushing and flossing your teeth regularly.

Transform Brushing into Adventure. Make tooth brushing an exciting adventure for your little ones. Encourage their imagination by turning the bathroom into a magical land where brushing their teeth becomes an essential part of the journey. Maybe they're brushing away "sugar bugs" or protecting their teeth from "cavity monsters."

Let Them Choose Their Dental Tools. Allow your kids to pick their own toothbrush and toothpaste. With a wide range of colors, characters, and flavors available, let them express their individuality and enthusiasm for oral care. This autonomy can make brushing more enjoyable and personalized.

Storytelling with a Dental Twist. Combine storytelling and oral health education by creating imaginative tales that feature oral care superheroes or friendly tooth fairies. Make it interactive by having your children contribute to the storyline while learning about the importance of brushing, flossing, and visiting the dentist.

Organize Family Brushing Time. Designate specific times for family brushing sessions. Stand together in front of the mirror, make funny faces, and brush as a team. Not only will this reinforce good oral habits, but it will also create a sense of togetherness and make oral care more fun.

Dance Your Way to Healthy Teeth. Put on some upbeat music and have a dance party while brushing. Encourage your kids to move and groove to the rhythm while diligently brushing their teeth. This activity makes oral care entertaining and ensures they brush for the recommended two minutes.

Make Healthy Snacks Exciting. Promote nutritious snacking by creating colorful and appealing fruit and vegetable platters. Arrange the slices in fun shapes or use a variety of dips to make the experience more enjoyable. Discuss how these snacks contribute to strong teeth and overall health.

Role Play Dental Check-ups. Bring out your child's inner dentist by engaging in pretend play dental check-ups. Use a small mirror and a flashlight to examine each other's teeth. This playful activity helps alleviate any fears and familiarizes your child with dental visits.

Use Technology to Engage. Leverage educational apps and online resources to make oral health engaging. Many interactive websites and mobile applications offer games, quizzes, and videos that teach children about oral hygiene in an entertaining way. Explore these options together as a family.

Reward Milestones with Oral Care Surprises. Celebrate your child's oral health milestones with small surprises. It could be a new toothbrush, a fun toothpaste flavor, or a special outing related to oral care. These rewards not only make oral health exciting but also reinforce positive habits.

Let's prioritize our children's oral health by implementing these. By incorporating imagination, playfulness, and education into daily oral care routines, we can instill healthy habits that will benefit our children throughout their lives. Let this special day serve as a reminder of the incredible impact we have on our children's oral health, and let's continue to nurture those radiant, adorable smiles together!

Testimonials

Testimonials

"Dr. Whitmire and her staff are all very friendly and did a great job. Since the moment I called to ask if they accepted my dental insurance to them signing off a form for my husband work after I got some dental work done, they helped me every step of the way with a smile. Thank you!"

SYLVIA  G.

"After not visiting the dentist for a few years, my teeth started giving me issues. My friend recommended Dr. Whitmire, I made an appointment after I noticed some swelling and they made sure to see me right away. I never felt pressured into getting any unnecessary work done and they developed a plan to fix all of the issues with my teeth. I have gone back several times now, every experience with Dr. Whitmire and her team has been great. They are all so nice and very professional."

JACOB B.

"I am proud to share that Dr. Whitmire has been my dentist for the past 11 years.  I was one of her first patients!  Here are some reasons why I have stayed with her for so long:

1) She genuinely cares about my overall well-being and safety.  My husband and  two  daughters are also her patients.

2)She promptly responds to my dental crises, especially when I had excruciating nerve pain. I ended up getting my first root canal and the whole procedure was surprisingly painless!

3)Hannah, her front office administrator, is an absolute gem! She is incredibly  patient, reliable and does everything with a BIG smile, even when tackling insurance issues or trying to squeeze me in for an appointment!  Other members of her team are also very compassionate and competent in what they do.  I can go on and on about why I am such a loyal patient, but that would take up too much time!  So for anyone who's reading this, my best advice is for you to call Dr. Whitmire's Office at  (916) 972-1933 to experience it for yourself!  In fact, I have referred several of my  co-workers in the past and they are still her patients! :-)"
